EPoSS events revolve around trend-setting topics
The European network EPoSS has set itself the goal of establishing sustainable initiatives set to promote the technological development in the European research landscape in the field of smart systems. At Smart Systems Integration, the EPoSS offers a varied program on topics relevant to the future.
Prior to the official start of the conference on 9 April 2019, the EPoSS will host working groups meetings on the following topics: “Transport”, “Factory Automation & Robotics”, “Healthy Living”, “Applied MNBS”, “Energy”, “Food, Agriculture and Natural Resources”, and “Key Technologies”. On 10th April, they will be organising a Session on “Smart Systems in the Future European Funding Landscape” (11:05 - 12:45h) followed by a Session on “Smart Systems for Energy” (13:45 - 15:25h). All participants are welcome to enter into discussions with national public authorities as well as European Commission´s representatives, cluster organisations, ECSEL Joint Undertaking and industry on the future funding landscape for smart systems in Europe. During the second session, the focus will lay on industrial innovations and the latest research results on Smart Systems for energy applications. The listed EPoSS events are included in the visitor ticket.

Conference and exhibition offer numerous highlights
Conference participants can look forward to five keynote speeches by experts from internationally renowned companies and research institutions: Hewlett Packard Espanola S. L., RWTH Aachen, Fundacion Cidetec, European Commission and Delft University of Technology. In addition, they will be offered 52 top-class lectures by international speakers from science and industry as well as a panel discussion on the subject of "Future aspects of smart integrated systems". There will also be a new event hosted by the Dresdner Smart Systems HUB: "Hardware, Software and Connectivity - enabling smart systems for various IoT applications". The session deals with the core areas of the Smart Systems Hub - Enabling IoT: the comprehensive integration of hardware, software and connectivity (5G) as the basis of our digital future.
At the exhibition, highly specialized exhibitors from industry and research will present their solutions. New this year is the "Speakers Special", which enables first-time speakers at the conference to present their company with a table-top area. Participating companies are CEA-Léti, Europractice and Micro Systems Technologies Management AG.
The extensive supporting program includes a pre-conference field trip to the Hewlett-Packard's R&D Centre and the traditional conference dinner at the "Palau Requesens", a medieval Gothic palace in the old city of Barcelona.
