Call for Papers deadline extended

Experts from industry and science wishing to pass on their specialist knowledge to a highly qualified audience of experts are invited to submit their lecture proposals for the Smart Systems Integration 2019 in Barcelona until 19 October 2018, following the extension of the deadline. From 10 - 11 April 2019, the international conference with accompanying exhibition will be the meeting place for experts from all over Europe on intelligent systems and their applications.

The conference committee, headed by Prof. Dr. Thomas Otto, Fraunhofer Institute for Electronic Nano Systems (ENAS), Chemnitz, will accept submissions in English for oral presentations on stage or poster presentations on the following topics:

C. Software for smart integrated systems
C01 Embedded software
C02 Distributed embedded systems
C03 Self-X systems (learning, organizing, optimizing, repairing …)
C04 Methods of software life cycle (design, test, commissioning)

D. Business creation of smart systems
D01 Market trends
D02 Perspectives of smart systems
D03 Ecosystems for smart solutions
D04 SME success stories

In addition to the publication of the paper in the conference proceedings complete with ISBN, speakers will primarily benefit from the valuable networking opportunities offered by the parallel exhibition and networking events such as the well-attended Conference Dinner.

“The Smart Systems Integration is a very unique conference because topics are related on not only academic research, but also industry research and government trends,” explains Masanori Muroyama of the Tohoku University in Japan.

Furthermore, speakers will have the chance of winning an award: At the Smart Systems Integration 2019, the Best Paper and Best Poster Award will once again be presented to the most innovative and highest-quality entries. The outstanding achievements will be honored at the Conference Dinner at the following year's event and winner will be awarded with prize money to the sum of 500 Euros.

At the event in 2018 Dr. Larraitz Añorga, Cidetec Nanomedicine, Spain, won the Best Paper Award with her presentation "Launch to the market a truly portable Electrochemical Biosensor for Sulphite Analysis in Food Industry". The Best Poster Award went to Lena Goullon, Fraunhofer Institute for Reliability and Microintegration IZM Germany, with her topic "The Attach for High Power VCSEL Array Systems".

“It will be a pleasure to receive this Award at the SSI 2019 conference and to share our achievements on printed sensors within this community. I am grateful to be able to present my project on the SSI platform – this is where the most important people in the industry meet,” explains Dr. Larraitz Añorga.
