Here you will find all information on your oral or poster presentation at the Smart Systems Integration 2019.

Manuscript for the conference proceedings (oral and poster presentations)

The proceedings (published with an ISBN number) are a summary of all oral and poster papers and give a comprehensive overview of the main contents of the conference. It will be available to download for all participants.

Please note the following:
Your manuscript will be published as it is submitted and will not be edited or rewritten.
It will only be published in the proceedings if you have registered as a speaker.   

Please use our template for the general outline and graphic style of the proceedings. The template also includes important guidelines for writing.

Important guidelines, which must be adhered to are

  • the number of pages is restricted to a maximum of 8 pages for oral presentations 4 pages for poster presentations
  • Pictures and graphics must be embedded in the PDF-file.
  • Layout: European A4 page size (210 mm x 297 mm)
  • Page numbers: No indication of page numbers (will be inserted by the publisher).
  • Margins: left 2 cm, right 2 cm, top 2 cm, bottom 3 cm
  • Font and font size: Arial (minimum 12 point), single-line spacing
  • Open PDF-file, max. 10 MB
  • Do not use company letterheads, company logos, any company identification or company-/product brochures as a "component" in the manuscript.

By submitting your manuscript to Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH, you accept our copyright agreement.

The production of USB sticks may not be undertaken using unlicensed software. The authors of manuscripts must therefore affirm that only licensed software has been used to prepare their paper and thus release Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH from any claim for damages from third parties.

Online registration

Speakers must register online for the conference at a special rate until 18 February 2019. You will be informed by email about the registration process at the beginning of January 2019.

The special conference fee for speakers is 335 Euro + VAT.

The fee includes the following services

  • Participation at the whole conference and accompanying exhibition
  • Coffee breaks/lunch
  • Smart Systems Integration 2019 conference proceedings on USB stick
  • Free exhibition guide
  • Free marketing services
  • Participation at the conference dinner on Wednesday, 10 April 2019

The spaces at the conference dinner are limited. It is therefore imperative that the conference dinner is booked along with the registration. Cancellations of the conference dinner will be accepted free of charge until 12:00 pm on the first day of the conference (10 April 2019). Cancellations after this deadline will incur a cancellation fee of 50 Euro + VAT.

We offer special conference fees for co-authors, starting from 700 Euro + VAT. Information with a special registration code has been sent to all co-authors. Kindly contact Liane Preuß in case you still need the registration code.
Please do not register any co-authors using the speaker's registration form.

If you are unable to attend the conference, we would urge that a co-author or appropriate colleague from your company/university present the paper in your place. Please note that each speaker is only permitted to hold one oral or poster presentation. In case of changes in speakers, please notify Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH in writing immediately by e-mail to

If no one is available to present the paper, Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH will charge you or your company/university a fee of:
  85 Euro + VAT for a cancellation until 18 February 2019
325 Euro + VAT for a cancellation after 18 February 2019
325 Euro + VAT if you will not be present for your lecture and if Mesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH has not been notified beforehand; exceptions to this would be strikes, riots, transportation interruption, acts of God, or any other unforeseen conditions beyond the control of the speaker.

If you are not able or willing to give the poster presentation, please inform us in writing until 31 December 2018. A cancellation after 31 December 2018 will incur a fee of 162.50 Euro + VAT, even if you have not registered for the conference to date.  

Presentation as speaker

Template: A document with tips and hints on how to prepare a presentation is available for download as well as the presentation template:

Language: Slides and presentation should be in English.

Presentation time: 25 minutes – with 20 minutes for the presentation, and 5 minutes for questions and discussion with the audience.

Your Power Point presentation: The delegates are interested in obtaining the power point file of certain oral presentations. If you are willing to make your ppt file available, please save your presentation on the desktop of the laptop provided on site. Alternatively you can send us the ppt file after the conference; we will then offer it as a download.

Arrival time: Please arrive at your conference room 10 minutes before your session begins and meet your chairperson. The chairperson will already have been given your short biography and manuscript and will introduce you to the audience. You are required to be present during the entire session.

Technical equipment: Each room is equipped with a laptop and an LCD projector. You may bring your presentation file on a USB flash drive.

If you need any further technical equipment please inform by 18 February 2019.

Poster Presentation

Poster format and layout: DIN A0, portrait format (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm). The design and content of the poster can be decided by the presenter.

Language: English.

Pre-check: Submit your poster for pre-check (quality check) until 22 March 2019 as a PDF file via email to Each presenter is responsible for the production of their own poster.

Presentation time: The time allowed for the poster presentation is approx. 60 minutes per day. The posters will be displayed during the whole conference. The poster session offers a great opportunity for presenting your work directly to other participants and can be the basis for deeper discussions at your booth.

Affixing and removal of your poster: Please hang up your poster on 10 April 2019 at the latest half an hour before the beginning of the conference. Please use the poster wall assigned to you. If you wish to keep your poster, please remove it on 11 April 2019 between 4.40 p.m. and 5.00 p.m.
